Alfiero Massimini

Italian Musician, Sound Engineer and Sound Designer, active between 1987 and 1997. He cooperated with various recording studios, like Logic Studios, Pixel Sound, Eclisse Studio, Stone Castle Studios, Psycho Studio, and Green Studio, covering multiple roles. Alfiero started as an engineering assistant and focused on Digital Editing, Digital Sound Design, Digital Post-Production, and Digital Mastering. He was one of the first in Italy to specialize in working on digital direct-to-disk systems such as Synclavier, Fairlight, Opus Lexicon and AMS Logic. Among Italian and international artists, he worked with Depeche Mode, Yes, Robert Palmer, Vasco Rossi, Franco Battiato, Fabrizio De Andrè, Paolo Conte, Jovanotti and many others. Unfortunately, in the 1980s and 1990s, Alfiero's work (Digital Editing, Digital Sound Design, Digital Post-Production, and Digital Mastering on direct-to-disk systems) was very often planned and performed at the last moment, when the booklet was already printed or in printing. For this reason, Alfiero doesn't appear in some album credits, even if he worked in the making. Alfiero retired from discography in 1998 and today is a real estate advisor and investor.
