Michele Grace Kappel

Songwriter, guitarist, drummer and singer based in Oakland, California. Originally from Baltimore, Kappel began her onstage career as part of multimedia theater troupe Impossible Industrial Action. She moved to San Francisco, where she co-founded garage rock band The Kirby Grips, in which she was the drummer. After Kirby Grips went on hiatus, she began performing as ukelele playing folk pop artist Tippy Canoe. She has also performed as part of the country duo Heartache Sisters and as a drummer with country band Laura Benitez & The Heartache. She also performs as Yours Truly, Michele, a roots rock/60s pop inspired project.
