Swedish musician and songwriter, born February 17, 1960. As a musician, he is primarily known as the guitarist in the group Kenneth & The Knutters. Jennstig has also sung tenor in the Gothenburg-based choir Denio led by Maria Broman. As a songwriter, he has written songs for a number of Swedish artists such as Carina Jaarnek, Caracola, Grönwalls, Blender and Caroline Wennergren. Kjell Jennstig has participated three times in the Latvian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (Eirodziesma): In 2007, his song Questa Notte, written together with Torbjörn Wassenius and Fransesca Russo and performed by Bonaparti.LV, won. The song then went to the finals at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki where it finished in 16th place. In 2008, his song "You really got me going" came second. The song was co-written with Leif Goldkuhl and performed by Viss Kārtībā, Mincīt!. Jennstig had two songs entered in Spain's Eurovision Song Contest selection for 2011. One of these, "Evangeline", qualified for the final where it was performed by the group "Auryn". He competed in the Melodifestivalen 2013 with the contribution "En riktig jävla schlager", which was performed by the group Ravaillacz. It won its heat and made it to the final where it finished in tenth place.
