Fredrik Wilhelm Klint

Swedish organist, music teacher and composer, born 7 February 1811 in Visby, Gotland, died 1 June 1894 in Stockholm. He studied at Uppsala University and the Conservatory of Music in Stockholm. Between 1842 and 1854 he was organist at the French Reformed Church, Stockholm and between 1858 and 1877 organist at Östergarn Church, Gotland. He was music director at the Musical Society in Visby between 1856 and 1858. When he worked in Stockholm he mainly wrote music for chamber music and salon music and when he worked on Gotland he mainly wrote music for organ and choir.
