Shane Hegarty

Shane Hegarty was born in Ireland in 1974. The father of four children is a journalist who has worked in radio and television and was, in his own words, "the worst stand-up comedian on the Irish comedy scene" for a short time. Most recently he worked for the Irish Times, but is now concentrating fully on writing books. The six-part series "Darkmouth" is his highly successful debut.
