Born in Lyon, the soprano Sandrine Buendia, trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, obtained in 2012 the First Prize unanimously by the jury. She interprets in different productions roles with various typologies that allow her to approach repertoires ranging from baroque music to contemporary creation. Thus, in recent years, we have been able to hear him on large and prestigious stages in France and abroad, including: the Théâtre du Châtelet, the Salle Pleyel, the Opéra Comique, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Auditorium de Bordeaux, the Opéra de Lorraine, the Opéra de Dijon, the Opéra de Reims, the Opéra national de Montpellier... His musical qualities, the richness and flexibility of his voice, his "fruity" timbre coupled with his interest in the theater lead him to interpret a wide range of roles. Sandrine plays the Second Lady in The Magic Flute, Giannetta in L'Elixir d'amour, La Bergère/La Pastourelle/La Chauve-souris/La Chouette in L'Enfant et les Sortilèges (Salle Pleyel), Écho in Gluck's Echo et Narcisse (Cité de la Musique), Méphisto in Hervé's Le Petit Faust, Totte in Maurice Yvain's Yes, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, the title role in Offenbach's Geneviève de Brabant (Opéra national de Lorraine), the title role in Lecocq's Le Petit Duc (Reims Opera), Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi (French tour), Elle in Poulenc's La Voix Humaine, Catherine in Paul Misraki's Normandie, Musetta in La Bohème... From the 2012 season, the Opéra Comique solicited her for numerous productions and recitals. She played the title role in Pauline Viardot's Cinderella, which she reprised in Reims and then in Quimper. On the strength of this success, critics noted the quality and clarity of his French diction. The Opéra Comique then offered him the contemporary creation of the first web-opera: Les Mystères de l'Ecureuil Bleu by Marc-Olivier Dupin (roles of Adèle and Al Sirbec). Recently, her interpretation of Mimi in Bohème/Notre jeunesse (in French version rewritten by Marc-Olivier Dupin and directed by Pauline Bureau) was unanimously acclaimed. In addition to these operatic productions, there are numerous concerts and recitals of French melodies that are always highly appreciated by critics. During this same period, Sandrine created the title role in the storytelling opera La Jeune Fille Sans Mains under the musical direction of composer David Walter and directed by Emmanuelle Cordoliani (Dijon Opera and French tour). In 2019-20, she is offered many rich and abundant projects. Artist-in-residence at the Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne, she made the world premiere of the role of Célia in Les Bains Macabres by Guillaume Connesson (conducted by Arie Van Beek, directed by Florent Siaud).
