SeeMoreGlass began in the trunk of a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the fall of 2007 after the malaise of real life set in. N. Patrick Phile, the main artist behind the project, played in the band Dear Holden from 2004-2010, and as the band was winding down, the side project took full priority. Taking the name from a J.D. Salinger character, the project quickly became about self discovery and empowerment after years of difficult relationships. The E.P. "If You Really Want To Hear About It..." was recorded in the basement of a close friend's house on a winter weekend and was released to no acclaim in the fall of 2010 amidst the turmoil of many endings and beginnings. After a seven year hiatus, the high school English teacher revived the project during the weekly midnight hours as a means of survival. Graveyard Gertie was released in 2017 as a way to deal with the overwhelming grief of multiple friends and family members who passed away. After that release, he spent the next four years, teaching, writing poetry and working endlessly on the songs that would become the new album Roaring Paper Spring. He currently lives in Ohio, with his wife, and creative partner Rachel.
