Marlo Ketchum

Marlo "The Dobro Man" Ketchum was born in Endicott, NY on June 18, 1945, and was educated at the Batavia (NY) School for the Blind as well as the Bronx-Pelham Parkway Institute for the Blind in New York City. He played piano at a young age and learned guitar in his teens. At both schools he collaborated with his fiddling friend Slim Pikins (2), and the two put out an album as The Country Brothers, as well as at least one single on Marlo Records (3) as Marlo & Slim (The Country Brothers). Ketchum also recorded on his label Marlo (2) and released several 45s as The Dobro Man & His Country Brothers in the mid-'60s. The Dobro Man died October 17, 2018 in Hagerstown, MD.
