Aiko Fiebig

Swiss violinist and concertmaster of Japanese origin, born 1949 in Tokyo, Japan; died October 10, 2020 in Maur, Switzerland. Fiebig learned violin in Tokyo and followed her professor to Germany, where she became 1st violin of the Nürnberger Symphoniker. She met Eckhard Fiebig in 1968, they got married in 1972 and moved to Ebmatingen, Maur. Aiko became mother of Kimi Fiebig and Ken Fiebig in the 1970's. She joined the Orchester Maur as 1st violin and concertmaster and was member during the whole lifespan of that orchestra. After the orchestra was dissolved in 2012, she becamem member of folkloristic ensemble "Wiener Kranzl".
