James O. Lewis

American singer. He made his first solo appearance at the age of three, and led the school orchestra during high school. He was a graduate of Talladega College, majoring in sociology, but soon found music more interesting. He appeared in The Hot Mikado with Bill Robinson and sang in major New York clubs before the Coast Guard and the Mariners claimed his talents.
