Philippe Robert (3)

French author, critic and journalist born in 1958 in Paris. He wrote for Les Inrockuptibles, Mouvement, Vibrations Magazine, Jazz Magazine (2), Revue & Corrigée, Guitare & Claviers, Vibrations, Improjazz, Octopus, Batteur Magazine, Ortie, Numéro Zéro (his fanzine), Supersonic Jazz and published many books for Le Mot et le Reste (for example "Musiques experimentales" which has been translated in japanese with a foreword by Otomo Yoshihide), Camion Blanc ("Free Fight, This Is (Our) New Thing", about rare free jazz records) and Lenka lente ("Agitation Frite, témoignages de l'underground français", around 40 interviews with Richard Pinhas, Christian Vander, Jac Berrocal, Pascal Comelade, Pierre Bastien, Dominique Grimaud...). He produces records for Numero Zero Audio (his label) and Dysmusie (one side of "Les Anges du péché" by Thurston Moore, Lee Ranaldo & Jean-Marc Montera). And also for Up Against The Wall, Motherfuckers! with his wife Joëlle Vinciarelli (aka Erle) from the bands Talweg and La Morte Young.
