Milk Man & The Big Band, from Knoxville, Tennessee, is a 17-piece blues, rock, and jazz band established in 2021 by songwriter Dino “Milk Man” Nassios and trombonist Rion Tabor. The group features 6 horns (trumpet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trombone, euphonium, and bass trombone), as well as two electric guitars, bass guitar, vocals, Hammond organ, drums, auxiliary percussion, and a traditional string quartet. The band’s live repertoire features many of the horn-based hits of the 1950s and 1960s, as well as new compositions by the "Milk Man" and company as well. One of the key ideologies of Milk Man & The Big Band is its unrelenting allegiance to the way music was made and performed in the past. For example, the band brings a real, 1950s Hammond organ with Leslie rotary speaker to every show, and there are no digital instruments found on stage. Despite Knoxville being on the opposite side of the state, the classic “Memphis sound” lives on in this fresh, new band
