US songwriter. Most noticeable for the ballad "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You", penned together with Maurice Mysels and sung by Elvis Presley. But, he also wrote songs for Frank Sinatra, Jerry Lee Lewis and Connie Smith to name a few, music for stage shows and jazz standards.
