13th Street is a German-language pay TV station. The station is operated by NBC Universal International Networks, until the end of 2010 NBC UNIVERSAL Global Networks Deutschland GmbH, based in Munich. The station is dedicated to the thriller & crime genres and shows series, feature films as well as short films. In addition, 13th Street is also active in promoting young directors. The station presents the annual Shocking Shorts Award at the Munich Film Festival and has co-financed nearly 40 short films to date. As part of the rebranding of NBC Universal's channel portfolio, in Germany from 2011-2016 Universal Networks International, 13th Street was renamed 13th Street Universal on March 14, 2011. The renaming was also accompanied by a realignment of the station in Germany. Since 2013, the station has been called 13th Street again.
