Berlin resident, Japanese Ryutaro Mimura, aka miu, is in the field of composition, improvisation and performance. He studied at the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo and at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and has to his credit many performances in London. Installed in Germany since 2005, he continues to develop his own technique based on a career of trans-media artist. His work focuses on the emergence of new forms of embodied consciousness in connection with the use of a coding system for both analog and digital.
