Tatyana Baranova (Baranova-Monighetti) - Soviet musicologist and teacher, pianist, organist. Together with her husband, the famous cellist and conductor Ivan Monighetti, she was the organizer of the first international early music festival in Russia (1987-1990) and the first international conference dedicated to the problems of pre-classical music. In 1990, together with her family, she moved to Switzerland (Basel), since that time she has combined teaching, performing and scientific activities: she worked at the Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid, the Basel Academy of Music, performed in a duet with her husband, cellist Ivan Monighetti, in ensembles of ancient music.
