Swedish punk punk band from Uppsala. The band was formed as early as 1970 under the name Libbet Sväller by singer Sören G. Andersson, drummer Peter Ericson and guitarist Christer Lindahl. A few weeks later Wilhelm Wallin joined the base. Initially played mostly Black Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix covers. At the beginning of their careers, they shared rehearsal rooms with the band Gudibrallan. Since Gudibrallan was a frequent touring band, they got a chance to accompany them on tour. When they played in Skarpnäck in 1972 they were so loud that a police helicopter even hovered over the stage to silence them. In 1972 they changed the rehearsal room to an old laundry room where they also started to build their own studio, where the album was recorded on a two-channel Revox. The album is almost entirely recorded live with just a few mixes. Guest musician was Hasse Bruniusson from Samla Mammas Manna. Some years before the album was released, they changed their names to Rävjunk. The name came up when one of Peter's workmates would drink coffee that had been on since the night session before. He mocked "damn what a fox junk" and that became the name. In connection with the album being released on CD with extra tracks in 2008, they played on Katalin, Uppsala, with some new members. After that, they played at the punk gala at Malmen, Stockholm in April 2010. Their album "Uppsala Stadshotell brinner" from 1977 is re-released on vinyl in the summer of 2016. The German record company "Shadok Music" re-released it on vinyl in 500 copies. Later that summer, Peter Ericson passed away. Peter Ericson was a drummer in the band and one of the original members. He also ran the record store Örat, which also closed down after Peter's death. Singer Sören G. Andersson is one of two remaining original members, the other being Christer Lindahl (guitar and vocals). The band continues together with Magnus Larsson (guitar), Nicklas Gelotte (bass), Janne Hellman (Keyboards) and Henrik Sundin who replace Peter Ericson on drums. This setting of the band played together at a memorial held for Peter Ericson at Katalin on September 8, 2016. At the end of October 2016, the album "Uppsala Stadshotell brinner igen" was released on yellow vinyl in a limited edition of 500 copies. A CD edition was also planned. The music consists of previously released singles and EPs and one side with previously unreleased material. Members: Christer Lindahl Sören G.
