American country singer and songwriter, grew up in Centerville, Louisiana. Married to songwriter and producer Wayne Forman, her high school sweetheart. After their marriage, they began performing together in a band with Wayne singing leads and playing guitar and Peggy on harmonies. Later, she became the lead singer. She first entered the Nashville scene as a songwriter. She was named SESAC Writer of the Year after her composition of 'Out of My Head And Back In My Bed,' recorded by Loretta Lynn, reached #1 in the nation. This also earned her a Billboard Magazine Star Award along with the SESAC's writer's award for Single of the Year. Peggy's entertainment career began under the direction of the late superstar Conway Twitty. Her first MCA release, 'The Danger Zone' hit the national chart. Records on MCA and Dimension Records and the release of an album, 'Presenting...Peggy Forman' followed. Many prominent artists such as Bill Anderson, Jean Shepard and George Strait have recorded her songs. She charted 6 times from 1977 to 1982 as a singer, her highest charting song being "I Wish You Could Have Turned My Head (And Left My Heart Alone)", which hit #54 on the country charts in 1981. As a songwriter, she also charted 6 times.
