Caron Barrett

American multi-instrumentalist and business owner, based in Maui, Hawaii. She began her musical career as a teenager in Lubbock, Texas, playing with the all-girl band Boycott. She later played with the band Flux and formed her own group Astrogin in Dallas, Texas. Barrett owned Last Beat Records and Last Beat Studios in Dallas from 1991 to early 2006. She was also a partner / investor in other Dallas-area music venues. Barrett relocated to Hawaii in the early 2000s, closing Last Beat Studios in 2006. Barrett is the partner of singer Deborah Vial. The two were bandmates in Astrogin and now play together in the Deborah Vial Band.
