Östen Eriksson

Swedish musician and entertainer, born March 1, 1958 in Enånger in Hälsingland. As a six-year-old, Eriksson was already allowed to perform in the community center in Enånger together with Jokkmokks-Jokke. He attended a two-year social course at Bromangymnasiet in Hudiksvall 1974–76. He made his recording debut in 1976 when he played in the group Hälsingband. He worked at Iggesunds Bruk until 1980 when he decided to pursue a career as a full-time musician. For five years he was a member of the successful group Iggesundsgänget and, among other things, appeared in the TV program Nygammalt with Bosse Larsson. Since 1985, he has sung in the group Östen with the rest. He has hosted Sweden's Television's café program Östen directly from Sundsvall (1994–1995) and told funny stories in Have you heard it before? Eriksson made his book debut with the novel The Angel Man on August 1, 2012.
