David Bath (3)

Australian singer-songwriter and musician, active in Canberra, ACT, since circa 2003. David Bath's music is a style crossed between alternative rock and punchy, blues with a 60's surf edge. He released his first studio EP, Do What You Must, in 2018. David initially performed in 2003 at the Canberra Park Woolshed gatherings in Watson and joined Gravy tram as lead guitarist. He developed his own material at the secluded "Pixie House" in neighbouring Queanbeyan, and in 2008 joined ‘Two Guitars and a Cello’ featuring Julia Horvath and Sheila Mann, performing a dynamic range of contemporary folk music. With the need to release more electric sounds he formed ‘David Bath & the Hot-Tubs’ with Gerry Andrew (People I love) and Nathan Rowland (Tundrel). Other projects included ‘7Set’ and recording with Gravy Tram for their first album ‘That's the Plan’ (released in October 2010). In 2012 David joined as bass player for long time friend "Magic" Rob Burgess and soon after formed Magic Rob Universe. He later formed the 'Three Daves' with Gerry Andrew (bass) and Katharine Hagan (drums) and the group was joined by Jon Burgess (guitar) and George Sanderson (lead guitar) to perform at the launch of David's first EP at Smith's Alternative in 2018.
