Mike Spencer (16)

Barbershop lead vocalist. Born on February 5, 1965, Mike has been singing barbershop harmony for most of his life, joining the Society (BHS) at the age of twelve. Born in Cuba, NY, he grew up Racine, WI and later moved to the San Diego, CA area. Mike has sung tenor, lead and baritone in more quartets than he can remember. Before he won the quartet gold medal with Revival (1998), Mike earned two Far Western District Championships, singing lead in 1994 with Western Union and again in 1997 with Revival. Mike has also sung with several wonderful choruses through the years, including the New Tradition, the Masters of Harmony and the Sun Harbor Chorus, where he earned a 5th place International bronze medal in 1991. Mike’s many talents have enabled him to direct a Harmony, Inc. women’s chorus, coach quartets and choruses, plus serve on the faculty of harmony education programs throughout the USA. Mike and his wife, Kim have two kids, Nicholas and Emilee, an awesome daughter-in-law, Jess, and one of the cutest granddaughters ever, named Brooklyn. Mike and Kim live in Lords Valley, PA.
