Swedish songwriter and producer, born February 12, 1976 in Reykjavik. He moved to Sweden in 1978 and currently lives in Stockholm. Birgisson is educated at Adolf Fredrik's music school and Stockholm's music high school/Kungsholmen's high school. He began his professional songwriting and producing career in 1996 working at Cosmos studios. In 1997, Anders Bagge and Christian Wåhlberg started Murlyn Music, where Arnthor Birgisson was handpicked. His breakthrough came a year later with the song "Because of You" for the boy band 98 Degrees. Arnthor Birgisson worked at Murlyn Music until 2003 and during this time created a series of hits for stars such as Ronan Keating, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Janet Jackson, Samantha Mumba and Celine Dion. Between the years 2003 and 2008, Arnthor Birgisson worked at Max Martin's and Tom Talomaa's production company Maratone together with Rami Yacoub and Dr Luke, among others. During these years more hits were created for artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Shayne Ward and Westlife. In 2008, Arnthor Birgisson was awarded for the song "Say ok", Vanessa Hudgens, at the BMI London Awards. The award was given to the biggest American pop hits of the year. In 2008, Arnthor Birgisson started the record and production company Aristotracks/ Aristotracks Productions/ Aristotracks AB together with businessman Linus Andreen and artist Emilia De Poret. Since then, until the year 2010, he has written and produced songs for stars such as Britney Spears, Leona Lewis and Shontelle.
