David Leeke

Born in Shrewsbury, and educated there at the Wakeman Grammar School, David Leeke began his musical training at the Parish Church of St. Chad. He joined the choir as a treble in 1966, and later studied the organ under the then organist, Samuel Baker, to whom he acted as pupil/assistant organist for five years. He later studied at the Royal College of Music, organ with John Birch and harmony with Dr. Robert Ashfield. In 1977 he was appointed Assistant Organist to Michael Fleming at Croydon Parish Church. He Moved to Folkestone in September 1979 to take up his appointment as Director of Music at the Parish Church. Born: 1957 Pasted: 2014
