American tenor vocalist. Born May 20, 1923 in Webb City, Missouri, USA. Died January 18, 2009 in Van Nuys, California, USA. He organized the Conniff Choral Group. He was a member of the Sportsmen Quartet on the Jack Benny Radio and Television Shows and made many appearances in night clubs while a member of that group from 1951-1954. He was also one of the Voices of Walter Schumann and The Top Twenty of Tennessee Ernie Ford Television Show. He also sang with The Skylarks, The Pied Pipers, The Ray Conniff Singers and The Johnny Mann Singers. he sang in a slew of Disney movies including “Mary Poppins", "Doctor Doolittle", and other movies such as "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", “The Sound of Music”, “Annie Get Your Gun”, “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad,Mad World” and “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.” He is one of the head hanging statues singing in the Walt Disney Haunted Mansion attractions around the world. For fourteen years, Jay also appeared live in Disneyland entertaining audiences with Irish tunes in the historical Golden Horseshoe Revue.
