/papercut is a Nu Metal/Metalcore Band from Hartford, Connecticut. They came out with one of the most innovative heavy projects of the past 20 years with their debut self-titled EP. The band draws influence from music and various media of countless different genres & time periods, and it shows. One cannot simply pin this band or EP down as a certain genre, surely it takes inspiration from this and that, but there's so much more to it. The self-titled release "papercut" is truly a one of a kind project that you will remember the floor you were standing on when you first heard it. It is nostalgic beyond belief, but not in the fashion where you've heard it before, it's undeniably fresh. It is the past and future all at once. Every song is filled with passion, hard hitting lyrics, insanely rhythmic grooves, and catchy melodies.
