Do not confuse with Belgian mastering engineer Gert Van Hoof. Originally bass player in punk/hardcore band Les Schtroumpfs Alcooliques. After that band ceased to exist he formed Sunpower together with Mike Du Bois. At the end of 2014, Gerd left Sunpower to concentrate on other, mainly electronic music.
