Carlo D'Angiò (born 1946, Naples, Italy - died 5 September 2016, Naples, Italy) was an Italian musician and composer. He began his career playing with other musicians in the middle of the 1960's. He was the co-founder, along with Eugenio Bennato and Giovanni Mauriello of Nuova Compagnia Di Canto Popolare, which was a famous folk group from Naples. Their aim was to revive the musical roots of authentic Neapolitan folk tradition. He left the group in 1976 and co-founded, again with Eugenio Bennato, the ensemble Musicanova. This group consisted of various musicians, including: percussionist Tony Esposito and Alfio Antico, vocalist Teresa De Sio, saxophonist Bob Fix, violinist David Blazer and Pippo Cerciello, bass player Gigi De Rienzo, and brass musician Enzo Avitabile. In 2011, he released an album titled "Viva il Sud!".
