Werner Maier

Werner Maier has been the director of the music school in Passail since 1980. He has also been Kapellmeister of the Marktmusikkapelle Passail since 1990 and is a co-founder of the singing group in his homeland, which he led for 20 years. His musical career began with his brother Anton "Toni" Maier, with whom he played concerts on almost all parts of the world for over 30 years. Werner Maier also played in all of his brother Toni's band formations and in his youth for a long time with the Zangtaler Quintet or with the "5 Steirern". His composed Landler, Polka and Weisen melodies have been legendary ever since.
