Trials X, formed in 1991 by Martin Tigermaan (J. Tiger) and Piotr Boruc (DJ. Platoon B. vel Platoon), are trailblazers in Polish hip-hop. Originating from elementary school friends, they sparked a hip-hop surge in Poland. Their initial recordings were made in a modest studio in Warsaw's Ochota district in 1993. In 1995, they released their album, "Prawda - Cel - Przesłanie" (Truth - Aim - Message), on cassette. However, its CD version got stuck in the Czech Republic due to a contract termination. Recorded in Poland's top studio at the public TV headquarters, the album coincided with Tupac's "Me Against the World." That year, they also released the popular g-funk single "Czujee się lepiey" ("I Feel Better"), inspired by Warren G and Nate Dogg's "Regulate," and gained significant TV exposure. Their fame led to a partnership with Adidas for a six-city Polish tour with the Adidas Streetball Challenge. Despite their early success, the band eventually ceased activities, but their influence remains a significant part of Polish hip-hop history.
