Rubik is North Londoner Shaun Yule. He began creating music back in 1995 and has since then self-released 9 albums ranging from the instrumental, sample and drum-programmed work on 'Remains' to his "personal opera" 'Tone Poem and the imaginary soundtrack to a real-life seal rescue ‘Seal Rescue at The Hook, June 2012’ released in 2021. In December of that same year he released the Anglo/Filipino Christmas mini-album 'Christmas / Pasko' with soprano Mavel Bautista. His work continues to be hugely influenced by classical music and generally explores moods and textures associated with introspection and romanticism.
