John McIver (January 5, 1947 ~ December 13, 2019) originally from Macon, Georgia was a bass player for the rock / funk group Law (5) during the 1970s. In 1973 he was introduced to the group at Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom in Atlanta by Roger Hatfield. He replaced previous bassist Mickey Williamson. After music he worked at Holly Hill Health Care as a nursing assistant. A job that lasted 28 years. A keen bingo player, he also enjoyed working outdoors in his yard and fishing. The day before he passed away, he managed to play his last bingo game. He passed away at his home in NIles, Ohio at 11:00am on December 13, 2019. He was 72 years of age. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, a brother, sisters and cousins.
