Kirsten Borchardt

German translator, editor, author and music journalist (b. 1964). Kirsten Borchardt specializes in contemporary music, cinema and popular culture. She has translated dozens of books about Nirvana, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, The Cure, Slipknot's Corey Taylor, writer A.J. Hartley, Monty Python, and Martin Scorsese to name a few — including I'm Your Man: Life of Leonard Cohen by Sylvie Simmons and Depeche Mode's 2013 biography by Steve Malins. Borchardt wrote a monography about Einstürzende Neubauten in 2003 and co-authored Schattenwelt · Helden und Legenden des Gothic Rock (2004) with Dave Thompson. She also collaborated with British music journalist Everett True and US writer, publisher and RE/Search Publications co-founder Andrea Juno.
