Matthias Manasi

Matthias Manasi has gained international acclaim in performing operatic and symphonic repertoire as a pianist. He studied piano with Andrejz Ratusinski, orchestral conducting with Thomas Ungar, and harpsichord with Siegfried Petrenz at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Stuttgart. He also studied piano with Carmen Piazzini at the University of Music, Karlsruhe. Matthias Manasi is the Music Director of the International Punta Classic Festival in Montevideo and Chief Conductor of the Orchestra Camerata Italiana. He started his conducting career with Un Ballo in Maschera at the Silesian State Opera, followed by La bohème, Don Giovanni and Die Zauberflöte. He has conducted at a number of European opera houses and festivals, and appeared with various orchestras, principally in Europe. He has also performed as a solo pianist in numerous recitals in Germany and the United States.
