Peder Karlsson

Swedish singer, composer, arranger and guitarist, born October 24, 1963 in Stockholm, grew up in Gröndal. Karlsson studied arrangement / composition at the Stockholm Academy of Music 1986 to 1988, among others for Ingvar Karkoff, Daniel Börtz and Bengt-Arne Wallin. He made the 1985 TV show Stora Skuggan together with Jonas Dominique. He co-founded The Real Group in 1984 and was a member of the group until 2010. As of 2012, he lives in Umeå. Between 2011 and 2014, Peder was the artistic director of the Perpetuum Jazzile Choir in Slovenia. Since 2015, Peder has been teaching rhythmic choral conducting at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium in Aarhus and Aalborg, Denmark, since 2016 with the title adjunct professor. In addition, Peder freelances as a workshop and seminar leader.
