Swedish classical bass vocalist, born August 18, 1962. He is a former base in the a cappella group The Real Group. After 2 years of study at the Royal Institute of Technology, Jalkéus decided to apply for the music teacher education at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm where he was accepted in 1984. There he formed together with Anders Edenroth, Peder Karlsson, Katarina Henryson and Margareta Bengtson the singing group The Real Group. In 1987 Jalkéus was admitted to the classical solo singing education at KMH and the same year The Real Group was admitted to the diploma education and in 1989 they were the first vocal group ever to graduate and were awarded the Royal Academy of Music's reward chip. In 1986, Anders Jalkéus graduated as a cantor. During this period. Between 1984 and 2015, Jalkéus has been active as a vocal soloist and as a singer with The Real Group and has toured in large parts of the world. In 1997, Anders Jalkéus was awarded the prize in the class as "Best Male Soloist" by "The Contemporary A cappella Society of America (CASA)" for his song on the album Live in Stockholm (Jazz-Live). Anders Jalkéus is frequently hired as a solo singer and organist.
