Paolo Citarella

Sicilian writer/arranger of the original version "Luna Mezzo Mare". He recorded it in 1927 in New York. From 1928 on, many versions were released in many languages. Most famous are the one by Lou Monte called "Lazy Mary" from 1958 and the 1938 version of "Oh! Ma Ma (The Butcher Boy)" by Rudy Vallee, sung by The Andrews Sisters amongst others.
