Chuck Chapman

Owner, and producer/engineer at Chapman Recording & Mastering. He worked for engineer Victor Damon at Damon Recording Studios from 1971 until Damon's retirement in 1973. Chapman purchased the business and equipment and remained at the 14th street location under the Damon number until 1975. For two years, Chapman partnered with Cavern Sound, moving into their underground facility in Independence, Missouri and operating as Cavern / Damon. He then moved the gear and clients temporarily to a small store front in Independence, Missouri until the home of Chapman Recording & Mastering was finished being built in Kansas City's historic River Market district. His studio remained a fixture in Kansas City at that location for nearly three decades before being relocating to Lenexa, Kansas in 2009.
