Chris Luebeck is a freelance guitarist capable of playing various genres of music with the right amount of authenticity and the right tone, but specializes in slide guitar and roots music. Showing a strong interest in music at a very early age, he began playing trumpet at the age of ten and guitar at the age of thirteen. While playing guitar he has studied with Vince Mendoza, Joe Jewell (2), Allen Hinds, Adam Speth, and Fran Banish. Some of his influences are: Duane Allman, Ry Cooder, Derek Trucks, Michael Landau, Vince Gill, Don Rich, Tony Rice and B.B. King to name a few. Chris has done a wide variety of performances ranging from country bands, original bands, musicals, church services, top 40 bands, backing singer/songwriters, and recording sessions. He has performed alongside drummer Carmine Apice, guitarist Michael Angelo Batio, and has opened for The Beat (2) and Phil Vassar. Most recently he has been playing for several artists/singer-songwriters in Nashville, TN and was hired to play guitar on an episode of ABC's "Nashville".
