Об исполнителе:
Glenda Collins was born December 16 1943. At age 12 she passed an audition to appear in several Carrol Levis Discoveries for the BBC's Light Programme leading to children's TV and radio slots, as well as a season in The Joe Lynch Show in London's Metropolitan Theatre in 1959. In 1960, age 16, her father Eric took her to Bond Street's Levy Studios to record demos. Eric then played the demos at the offices of Decca Records to A&R man Mike Smith. Glenda signed to Decca and three singles were released but she was dropped from the label when none of her records achieved any charting success. Instead, Glenda took an office job. She also sang part-time at weddings and in cabaret until even that work stopped coming in. Glenda had effectively retired until 1999, when she recorded a cover of "Avenues and Alleyways" ('The Protectors' theme) with record producer Russell C. Writer featured on the compilation album "Cult Themes from the 1970's, Vol. 2".
