Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (2)

Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (in Estonian Tallinna Kammerorkester) was established in 1960 in Tallinn, Estonia by conductor Neeme Järvi and members of Eesti Raadio Sümfooniaorkester. First concert of the orchestra was on 19 October 1960 at the concert of flutist Samuel Saulus. Regular activity of the orchestra started in 1961. The orchestra has performed compositions written for it by acclaimed Estonian composers Arvo Pärt, Jaan Rääts, Kuldar Sink and others. Not to be confused with another orchestra with the same name - Tallinn Chamber Orchestra (founded in 1993).
