Craig Sopo

Growing up in the echoes of Detroit, Craig Sopo has been tantalizing listeners with his dj sets since the late 1990's. Often defying categorization, his mixes draw inspiration from Detroit Electro, Chicago Ghettotech, Acid House, Techno and just a smidge of nostalgic 80's music. In an era where more and more mixes are becoming formulaic and pre-programmed, Sopo's approach harkens back to a pre-digital era, where quick cutting and turntable tricks ruled the day. A move to the East Coast in 2005 found Sopo linking up with fellow Michigan State University alum Patrick Brander, and the two now co-run More or Less out of the Charm City known as Baltimore. The label is a breeding ground for rising talent including Outputmessage, Slow Hands, Coss, Timothy Dalton and Graham Hatke.
