Wayne Patton (2)

Canadian producer, publisher, and record company executive from Toronto. Started with Capitol Records (Canada) Ltd. in 1968 working as an A&R rep. In 1973 he became General Manager of Pop Publishing at Leeds Music (Canada) Limited and Manitou Music (2). By 1976 Patton had moved to CBS' April Music (Canada) Ltd. / Blackwood Music (Canada) Ltd.. He continued with them as Managing Director after the restructuring to CBS Songs. He stayed with SBK Songs Canada after SBK took over the April/Blackwood/CBS operation in 1987, becoming Senior VP. In 1991 he started his own publishing company Patton Pending Music. In 1993 he moved to Holborne Distributing Co. Ltd. as VP of Business Affairs and oversaw Rodeo Records Ltd. and Banff Music for almost a decade. In 2004 he became chair of the Entertainment/Management department of the International Academy of Design/Toronto Film School until retiring.
