Gustav Bellers

German recording engineer (born July 25, 1902 in Kiel – died ?) Bellers worked for the Carl Lindström A.-G. in Berlin from the 1920s to at least the late 1930s, supervising recordings for the Gloria and Odeon labels. He signed his matrices Bs. or Bs.- Between November 1928 and January 1931, Bellers worked in East Asia, making recordings in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Japan, and India. In March 1931, he set out for Lagos, Nigeria, probably on a recording expedition in Africa. In the 1950s and early 1960s, he lived in Frankfurt am Main. Between 1938 and 1955, he worked on the sound of more than two dozen movies.
