Johann Winzer

Operatic tenor, b. Munich; trained in London, Milan, Venice, Cologne and Berlin with teachers including Pier Miranda Ferraro, Josef Metternich, Reinhard Leisenheimer and Francisco Araiza. Repertoire includes lyric-dramatic roles in German and French opera, including Hoffmann and Belmonte; a range of operetta characters; and roles in contemporary works, such as the Tenor in the premiere of Pia Gilbert's "Dialectics“ (Werkstattbühne, Oper Bonn) and the Colonel in Aribert Reimann's "Gespenstersonate" (Staatsoper Hamburg). Member of PPP-Musiktheater since 2004.
