Stelzhamma
Настоящее имя: Stelzhamma
Об исполнителе:
"Stelzhamma" is the name of the band consisting of Charly Schmid on saxophone, H.-G. Gutternig on tuba, Günter Wagner on accordion and Ewald Zach on drums. Her name is undoubtedly inspired by the poet of the Upper Austrian national anthem, Franz Stelzhamer, and this name says it all. With the 3 CDs "Worldwide Landsleut", "Frisch aussa, wias inside is" and "Zwiefach" Stelzhamma prove their reference to local folk music from Anton Bruckner and other times. Refreshingly treated and brought into a rapid form, always with a wink of irony and a swinging lightness - this is how the group's recordings present themselves. The four musicians - all trained at the Jazz Institute of the Bruckner University Linz - replace the piano with the accordion, the double bass through the tuba and, together with saxophone and drums, create a compact sound that they themselves describe as “analogue acoustic swinging funky alpine ethnic style”.
