American composer/arranger and barbershop baritone vocalist. Born on June 12, 1925 in Ashland, Kentucky. Bill later moved to Florida and began writing music and singing barbershop. Bill helped form the Suntones in 1957 as their baritone. Bill Wyatt wrote and arranged the “Chordbuster’s March” for his quartet, the Suntones, and it became one of the most popular barbershop songs ever. It is still sung by many quartets and choruses today. Wyatt won the first ever Sunshine District quartet championship in 1959 with the Suntones. He competed with them in the 1959 SPEBSQSA international contest in Chicago, Illinois placing 24th. He left the quartet shorty after their win at district. Bill passed away on December 17, 2018 at the age of 93 in Charlottesville, Virginia.
