Chelsy is Japanese girls rock band. The predecessor of the band was formed in 2011. At that time, Each members(MIO, AMI, and SHIZUKA) are the individual trainees of "Mitsubachi Keion-Bu" (means "Honey Bee light music society") and then the producer decided to order them to form band. At the 1st gig they use the name"MIO band" instatnly, and later the band was named "Chelsy". As soon as ARISA joined them as a keyboardist, they started their carreer as a 4 piece band. But in the July 2012, MIO left the band briefly, MIO returned the band January of 2013. Then, ARISA left the band. They made their debut release in March 2014 "I'LL BE ON MY WAY". In 2014, They got popular as their song "I will" was used as an insert song in the Anime "Ao Haru Ride" In 2016, famous novelist and script writer Takehiko Hata released a film "KUHANA!", which was his very debut film as a director. Chelsy provided 2 songs for the movie, One is the main theme song "Kite" which was inspired by the film character and the other is "Town" which was inspired by the the town of Kuwana in the film. In March 2018, they announced to be disbanded. They released their first-and-last Best album in April, ended their performance in 23th May One-man live in Shinjuku LOFT, Tokyo. Each of former members of the band started their another project. Drummer AMI started her project TENDERLAMP as frontman, MIO focuses on her project GIVE ME OW, while SHIZUKA has her project LOVELACE. AMI and MIO also have activities as actress, while SHIZUKA produces her photobook.
