Spanish pop band founded in by 1982 by Manuel España (guitar, vocals), Juan Enrique Moreno "Conejo" (bass) and Carlos Gilabert (drum machine, keyboards), first called La Guardia Del Cardenal Richelieu. In 1985 Joaquín Almendros (guitar) and Emilio Muñoz (drums) joined them, just as "La Guardia". Influenced by Mod music, they had a big hit with "Mil calles llevan hacia ti" in 1988.
