Omar Kareem Naber is a Slovenian singer-songwriter and guitar player. In late 2004 Naber won "Bitka talentov", the Slovenian version of the Battle of The Talents and became nationwide recognized. The prize for winning the show was an appearance at the EMA 2005 - Slovenian national entry for Eurovision. The year 2005 was really something special for young Omar, as he was able to show his talent at the highest level possible. This year he first represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kyiv with the song "Stop", a song he had composed himself. He failed to qualify to the final however, finishing in 12th place with 69 points. In the same year he published his first album with simple name "Omar", and year after Serbian release of the same album. Omar was the most listened Slovenian performer in 2005. In 2007 he released his 3rd album - "Kareem". In March 2014 he released his 4th album "Na glavo" in Slovenia along with its English version "No Helmet" a couple of months later in England. He won the 2017 national selection and became the second time the national representative for Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest, again in Ukraine with his own song "On My Way". Til today, he has performed over 1,500 concerts and released 5 albums. He plans to release his 6th one in November 2023. He said that he'll go "Back to the roots", so we can expect songs like on his first album. According to many, he is considered the best Slovenian vocalist of all time. His biggest hits in his long eighteen-year career are "Vse, Kar Si Želiš", "Krasen dan", "Stop", "Omar ti teslo".
